STOCKTON, Calif, -- UC Irvine's Ryan Warde (JR/Newport Beach, CA) scored with seven seconds left in the second overtime period to lift the Anteaters to a thrilling 14-13 win over San Jose State in the fifth place game of the 2016 Golden Coast Conference Men's Championships at Stockton on Saturday.

San Jose State's Ashley Castle (FR/Epson, England) scored with three seconds left in regulation on an assist from Davor Koret (SO/Zagreb, Croatia) to send the game into overtime. 

The 18th-ranked Anteaters (10-14) led 13-12 after a Warde goal on an assist from Jack Trush (SO/Newport Beach, CA) to close the first overtime. However, like both teams had done all game long, San Jose State (7-21) found the answer, tying the game with 1:03 left in the second overtime on a goal from Giacomo Lovatelli.

Koret led San Jose State with four assists and Ben Hauschild (FR/San Marcos, CA) led them with three goals and an assist. The Anteaters were led by Trush with five goals and the assist. Warde added four goals and an assists. Matej Matijevic, a first-team All-GCC selection, finished with 15 saves.
