FRESNO, Calif. – The 2026 Golden Coast Conference postseason honors were highlighted by a mix of established standouts and a historic influx of new talent, with the all-conference teams and individual awards reflecting both continued excellence and emerging impact players.
San Diego State junior Mimi Stoupas was named GCC Player of the Year after a standout season in which she led the conference in goals (74) and ranked among the leaders in total points (83). Stoupas also earned first team all-conference honors for the second consecutive season.
California Baptist sophomore Emmie Ramirez was selected as Newcomer of the Year following a dominant debut campaign. Ramirez led the GCC in total points (121) and points per game (5.3), while finishing second in goals (70). She also added 51 assists and a conference-best 46 steals, earning a spot on the first team.
The all-conference first team features a blend of returning standouts and new honorees. Fresno State senior Hailey Andress earned her third consecutive first team selection after finishing among the league leaders in scoring, while San Diego State senior Claudia Valdes returns to the first team for the second time in her career (also in 2024) after ranking among the top three in both assists (60) and points (107).
They are joined on the first team by Fresno State freshman Riaan Bryant, Fresno State freshman goalkeeper Katelyn Mobley, Loyola Marymount graduate student Anna Tarantino, and Ramirez. Bryant and Mobley become the first freshmen to earn first-team all-conference honors since 2022.
Four of the seven first team selections are first-time honorees, highlighting the conference’s new wave of talent. That trend carried throughout the postseason awards, as a conference-record seven freshmen were recognized across the all-conference first team, second team and honorable mention. There were no freshmen honored in 2025, making this year’s total the highest in GCC history.
Three-time defending regular-season champion Loyola Marymount, which has won 22 consecutive conference matches dating back to 2023, placed four student-athletes on the first and second all-conference teams, including two freshmen.
In total, 28 student-athletes earned all-conference recognition.
