No. 7 LMU earned their 12th straight win, defeating Santa Clara, 18-1, Sunday morning.

SANTA CLARA, Calif. — Cila David and Emison Styris scored two goals apiece as No. 7 Loyola Marymount rolled to an 18-1 victory over Santa Clara in Golden Coast Conference play at Sullivan Aquatic Center.

The Lions (18-3, 4-0 GCC) extended their winning streak to 12 games and pushed their regular-season conference winning streak to 20 straight, dating back to April 1, 2023.

Loyola Marymount seized control early, scoring five goals in the opening quarter and never looking back. Cianne Benjamin also scored twice for the Lions, while Chelsea Isaac, Carla Rivera and several others added goals as LMU showcased its depth in the lopsided win.

Santa Clara (3-19, 0-4 GCC) was held scoreless until the fourth quarter, when Sydney Maccabe netted the Broncos’ lone goal.

Gabby MacAfee made three saves to lead LMU in goal, while Tatum Roistacher and Madison Searle added one save each. Haley Tassell recorded eight saves for Santa Clara while facing constant pressure from the Lions’ attack.
