Fresno State Rolls to Road GCC Win

Eleven different players score for No. 12 Fresno State in 19-7 GCC win over Azusa Pacific.

GLENDORA, Calif. — Eleven different players scored for No. 12 Fresno State in a 19-7 win over Azusa Pacific in Golden Coast Conference action at the Citrus Aquatic Center.

The Bulldogs set the tone early, scoring six goals in the opening period and maintaining control throughout the match.

Riaan Bryant led Fresno State (11-8, 2-1 GCC) with six goals and one assist for seven total points. Hailey Andress and Kira Anderson each added two goals, while nine other Bulldogs contributed to the scoring in a balanced offensive effort.

Montana George and Daniela Herrero Miralles each scored two goals for Azusa Pacific (16-8, 0-4 GCC).

Fresno State scored in every period, finishing with quarter totals of 6, 4, 3 and 6 goals. Azusa Pacific was limited to 2, 3, 1 and 1, respectively, as the Bulldogs paired efficient offense with a strong defensive performance.

In goal, Fresno State’s Katelyn Mobley recorded six saves. Azusa Pacific goalkeeper Daniela Herrero Miralles finished with nine saves.
