Pacific earns 16-5 road win thanks to fast start and balanced offense.

No. 15 Pacific scored the games first four goals and had three players claim a hat-trick in a 16-5 win over Santa Clara on Saturday afternoon in Golden Coast Conference action.

Brianna Utas, Hila Futorian and Szamira Koppany scored three goals each to lift Pacific (16-5, 2-1) to the GCC win. Futorian added two assists for a five-point day. Five different players scored for Santa Clara (8-13, 0-4).

Koppany scored back-to-back goals in the game's first 2:34 for a quick 2-0 lead. Futorian and Utas then scored less than :30 apart to make it 4-0 with 3:27 to play in the opening quarter.

Pacific didn't slow down and led 9-2 with :14 left to play in the first half. Francesca Moynihan scored with :01 left in the half for Santa Clara to make it 9-3. It would not get any closer from there.
