FRESNO, Calif. -- Third-seed Loyola Marymount earned their way to the 2019 Golden Coast Conference Women's Championships semifinals thanks to a 13-8 win over No. 6 seed California Baptist in game one at Fresno State Aquatics Center on Friday afternoon.

The Lions were led by three-time All-GCC first-team selection Hana Vilanova and 2019 GCC Newcomer of the Year Marialena Seletopoulou with four goakls each. Senior and fellow first-team All-GCC selection Sky Flores made 10 saves as the Lions (20-9) reach 20 wins on the season. CBU (14-17) were led Jamie Hutton, a GCC All-Freshman team selection, with four goals.
The Lions held a 2-0 lead after the first quarter only to see the Lancers score the first two of the second quarter. From there, the Lions scored the next six goals to pull away.
LMU will play in the first semifinal at 2:30 pm on Saturday. The Lancers will play in the game five at 11:00 am.
