Lancers Post OT Comeback Winner

LOS ANGELES -- California Baptist's Allie Coleman scored with 31 seconds remaining in regulation to send the fifth place game of the 2018 Golden Coast Conference Women's Water Polo Championships into overtime. In the extra frames, the Lancers scored all three goals to post a 13-10 victory over Fresno State on Saturday afternoon at the Burns Aquatics Center.

The Lancers (17-17) trailed 10-8 after Fresno State's Callie Woodruff scored her fifth goal of the game with 2:54 to play. Madison Gonzales made it a one-goal game with 1:44 to play in the fourth. The Lancers then drew an exclusion to set-up a 6-on-5 for Coleman to tie the game.

It was all CBU in overtime as Kira O'Donell would score the would-be game winner at 1:55 of the first overtime frame. Jaclyn Myers and Annie Eubanks scored back-to-back goals in the second overtime to claim the win.

Woodruff led all scorers with her five tallies for the Bulldogs (7-18), tying two others for the tournament high for a single game. Emily Nicholson had three goals as the two freshman scored eight of Fresno State's 10 goals.

O'Donell led CBU with three goals. Vickie Ochoa, Myers and Lizette Perez added a pair.
