Lancers Earn 11-5 Win in Game 5

LOS ANGELES -- California Baptist used three goals from Co-Newcomer of the Year Kira O'Donell to claim an 11-5 win over Santa Clara in game five of the 2018 Golden Coast Conference Women's Water Polo Championships on Saturday morning.

The Lancers (16-17) advance to the fifth place game on Sunday at 11 am. Santa Clara (12-18) will play in the seventh place game at 9:15 am.

 

California Baptist jumped out to a 7-1 lead and never looked back as the lead never got lower than four goals. O'Donell added an assist and a steal for the Lancers. Nine other players scored a goal for CBU, who got eight saves from goalie Megan Rocha. 

Santa Clara had goals from five different players.
