LOS ANGELES -- Azusa Pacific claimed a 10-8 win over Fresno Pacific in game four of the 2014 Golden Coast Conference Championships to advance Saturday's fifth place game at the Burns Aquatics Center on Friday afternoon.

The Cougars (16-20) got goals from seven different players, including two from Courtney Folsom, Taylor Whitney and Maryann Slama.

They built a 7-2 lead less than a minute into the second half thanks to Whitney's second goal. However, Fresno Pacific (8-23) wouldn't go away. Ten saves from goalie Kelsie Harvey kept them in it and Nia Apodaca's second goal of the third quarter cut the lead to 9-6 with 2:11.

The Sunbird would post a fourth quarter shutout and would cut the lead to 10-8 on Alyssa Hess' goal with 1:58 but could get no closer.
