STOCKTON, Calif. - Trailing 7-5 at the half, No. 3 seed LMU used a six-goal run to start the third quarter to push themselves to a 13-10 win over No. 6 seed Santa Clara in the first game of the 2015 Golden Coast Conference Championships at Chris Kjeldsen Pool in Stockton, Calif.

Senior Mackenzie Beck (SR/Mission Viejo, CA) and junior Ivana Castro (JR/Commerce, CA) scored five goals each as the Lions improve to 20-11 on the season and advance to Friday's first semifinal at 1:30 pm. Elizabeth Anderson (JR/Palo Alto, CA) scored four goals for the Broncos.

Both teams came out firing to start the game as the game sat at 4-4 after the first quarter. Each team scored to start the second to make it 5-5.

The Broncos then looked to take an upset, getting goals from Anderson and Elle Surber (JR/Pleasanton, CA) to take the 7-5 lead at the break.

LMU then wasted little time to trim the lead with Laura Lopez (SR/Commerce, CA) scoring just 20 seconds into the quarter. The Lions the drew an exclusion and got a goal from Castro to tie the game. Castro then game the Lions the lead for good on a 6-on-5 two possessions later. Castro and Beck would alternate goals to make it 11-7 before the Broncos (14-14) answered.
